GC- Exchange2007 ConnectWise Sync

INTRODUCTIONGC – Exchange2007 / Exchange2010 ConnectWise Sync is used to synchronize contacts from public folders to multiple users’ contacts folder. ConnectWise uploads all its contacts to a public folder. Your users are not able to use this information on their PDA or other mobile devices. Using this application you can now synchronize all these contacts to their contacts folder from the public folder. If a contact is updated in ConnectWise it is then automatically updated to the user’s Contacts folder by this application.

HOW THE APPLICATION WORKS

The application has two parts. The first is the configuration part. Here you specify the mailboxes and the folder to which you need to synchronize the contacts. The folder can be a sub-folder of the contacts folder as well. You can also specify a category or categories. If a category is specified then all the contacts are added to the specified category.

You can set phone mapping on selected contacts. If it is checked then, when saving contact to private folder, work phone will be saved to company main and primary phone will be saveed to work phone. You can also set extension mapping on selected contact. If it is checked then, all phone numbers will have their format as <number>,<extension>. These two settings will be useful if you use an iPhone.

The interface shows the list of mailboxes in your exchange server. Select username and enter the contact folder path.

The second part consists of scheduling the application that will perform the sync operation. You can use Windows Schedule Task and configure the schedule based on your preference. The application to be scheduled is ExchangeContactSync.exe and you will see this in the installation folder.
